The dried flower buds of Syzygium aromaticum, a medium-sized evergreen tree native to the Maluku Islands in eastern Indonesia.
The buds are harvested when they reach the mature pink stage—just before blooming—and then sun-dried until they turn dark brown. Cloves have been central to Indonesian spice trade for centuries.
Clove trees generally begin commercial production several years after planting. Harvest timing varies by growing region, rainfall and local conditions; buds are often picked in several rounds as they mature.

Enquire about clovesDried spikes of the Piper longum plant, with a hotter, earthier taste than black pepper and a lingering, slightly numbing finish.
Long pepper is harvested from the Piper longum plant. It is used as a spice and seasoning, and its taste is hotter than black, green or white pepper. It also has a distinct earthiness and a numbing aftertaste.
It can replace black pepper in almost any recipe. Cooks add it to spice blends, and it works especially well in stews and slow-cooked dishes, where its flavour has time to develop.

Whole dried nutmeg seeds from Indonesia, valued for a warm, sweet and woody aroma.
A warm, fragrant seed native to the Maluku Islands of Indonesia, and one of the most valuable and historic spices in the world.
Nutmeg is the dried seed of Myristica fragrans, an evergreen tree whose yellow fruit holds a hard seed wrapped in a bright red covering called mace. The tree is rich in essential oils, which give nutmeg its distinct aroma. As the seed matures it becomes firm and brown.
Indonesia is the historical home of nutmeg, especially the Banda Islands in Maluku. For centuries these islands were the centre of the global spice trade, and merchants from Asia, the Middle East and Europe came for nutmeg as early as the 12th century. Today Indonesia is still one of the leading producers of quality nutmeg.

Enquire about nutmegThe dried, golden-orange outer covering of the nutmeg seed, with a warm, delicate aroma and premium value.
The dried outer layer of the nutmeg seed, from the Maluku Islands of Indonesia. It is known for its warm aroma and premium value.
Mace (also called fuli) is the bright red, net-like covering that wraps the seed of Myristica fragrans, the nutmeg fruit. When it is dried, this thin layer turns golden orange and gives off a distinct natural aroma. Mace and nutmeg come from the same fruit, but mace is the outer layer that protects the nutmeg seed inside.
Mace comes from the Banda Islands in Maluku, Indonesia’s historic spice centre. It has been prized for centuries and was once traded around the world alongside nutmeg. Its look, aroma and quality depend on how ripe the fruit is when harvested and on the fertile soil of Indonesia’s spice-growing regions.

Enquire about maceDried, grated white coconut kernel with a fresh coconut taste and a long shelf life, widely used in bakery, confectionery and snacks.
Desiccated coconut is the grated, shredded or otherwise processed white kernel of the mature coconut. The kernel is cleaned of its brown skin (testa) and then dried to a very low moisture content. The dry product keeps for a long time and has an even texture, which makes it a key ingredient in bakery goods, confectionery, snacks and other food products.
Our desiccated coconut comes from Indonesian coconut plantations. The coconuts are harvested when fully mature, for the best flavour, natural sweetness and texture. The kernels are then processed carefully and dried under controlled conditions that keep their natural aroma and nutritional value. We combine traditional harvesting and processing methods with modern quality standards, and we aim for every batch to meet food safety and quality requirements. It is available in fine and medium grades and suits a wide range of recipes.
CV Garudea supplies desiccated coconut in bulk to food manufacturers and wholesalers, and handles quality checks and export paperwork for each order.

Enquire about desiccated coconutDried areca nuts, available whole, split or sliced for wholesale export. Specifications and packing are discussed per order.
The dried seed of the areca palm, traditionally chewed as a mouth freshener, often together with piper betel leaves and edible lime.
Betel nut, also called areca nut, comes from the Areca catechu palm, which grows in humid tropical regions. It has been used for a very long time, mostly in South and Southeast Asia, and chewing it is a common custom in many Asian cultures. It is used fresh or dried, fermented, or after boiling, baking or roasting. Betel nut contains compounds with a mild stimulant effect, so it is not suitable for everyone, and the rules on its import and sale differ from country to country.
The palm bears fruit throughout the year. In Indonesia, harvest usually peaks in the dry season, when the weather allows good ripening and sun-drying. Farmers pick the nuts when they turn from orange to red, which shows they are fully mature, and then process them as whole dried nuts or split kernels, depending on market demand. In key producing regions such as Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi, harvesting is done by hand so the best nuts can be selected. Year-round availability with seasonal peaks gives a steady supply for both domestic use and export.

Enquire about betel nutCured vanilla pods with a naturally sweet, authentic aroma and high vanillin content, from selected vanilla plants in Indonesia.
Cured vanilla pods of Vanilla planifolia, grown and harvested on selected vanilla plants in Indonesia, known for a naturally sweet, authentic vanilla aroma with high vanillin content.
Vanilla is one of Indonesia’s most treasured spices and a jewel of its agricultural exports. The plant is a climbing vine that grows long green pods, which are harvested and cured to bring out their characteristic aroma. Vanilla originally came from Mexico, but it is now grown in the major tropical regions, and Indonesia is one of the largest producers, with Planifolia and Tahiti types valued for their strong, natural fragrance.
In Indonesia, vanilla beans usually reach maturity 6 to 9 months after pollination. The pods are picked one by one, once they turn from dark green to light green with a slight yellow tint, which shows they are fully mature. Harvest does not happen all at once: farmers visit the vines several times a week, because flowering and ripening happen gradually. In most producing regions the main harvest falls between May and August, depending on local climate and altitude.
CV Garudea supplies Indonesian vanilla beans in sorted and graded lots, and handles quality checks and export paperwork for each order.

Enquire about vanillaIndonesian cassia cinnamon sticks in AAA, AA and A grades, with a warm, sweet-spicy aroma.
The aromatic bark of trees in the genus Cinnamomum, valued for its warm, sweet-spicy flavour and natural essential oils.
The bark is harvested, dried and rolled into quills, or ground into powder, and is used all over the world. Cinnamon is one of the oldest traded spices and has long been prized for its fragrance and rarity.
Indonesian cinnamon, known as Java cassia and Korintje cassia, comes from the bark of the trunks of Cinnamomum burmannii, a tree of the Lauraceae family. It is sold as thin or thick scraped single and double quills of a reddish-brown colour. In Indonesia, especially in regions such as Kerinci Regency in Jambi Province, the trees can be harvested after about 5 to 7 years of growth. The bark is usually harvested in the wetter months, when it peels more easily, and on many local plantations the main harvest runs from September to February.
